Articular uses AI to analyze your speech and help you become more articulate. Here's how it works:

1. You respond to a prompt by speaking into your phone
2. Our AI transcribes your speech and analyzes it for filler words, vocabulary, clarity, and fluency
3. You receive detailed feedback with specific suggestions for improvement
4. Daily practice builds your skills over time

When you first open Articular, you'll take a quick assessment where you record a 30-second response to a prompt. This establishes your baseline scores and helps personalize your training. Don't worry about being perfect - the point is to see where you're starting from!

Just 5 minutes a day is enough to see real improvement. Your daily workout consists of 4 short drills that you can complete in about 5 minutes. Consistency is more important than duration - a short daily practice is better than a long session once a week.

Microphone access is essential for Articular to work. We record your spoken responses, transcribe them, and analyze your speech patterns. Without microphone access, we can't provide any feedback. Your recordings are processed by AI and then deleted within 24 hours - we never share or sell your voice data.

Subscriptions are managed through your app store:

iOS:

2. Tap your name at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Find Articular and tap Cancel Subscription

Android:

1. Open the Google Play Store app
2. Tap your profile icon
3. Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
4. Find Articular and tap Cancel

Refunds are processed by Apple or Google, not directly by us. To request a refund:

Android: Visit Google Play subscriptions

If you've switched devices or reinstalled the app:

1. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase
2. Open Articular and go to Profile
3. Tap "Restore Purchases"
4. Your premium status should be restored automatically

If it doesn't work, try signing out and back into your app store account, then try again.

Your overall score is based on four factors:

• Relevance (35%): Did you answer the prompt?
• Clarity (25%): Was your message clear and organized?
• Vocabulary (20%): Did you use precise, varied words?
• Fluency (20%): How smooth was your delivery?

Each factor is scored 0-100. Most beginners score 45-65, which is completely normal. A score above 75 is genuinely good, and above 85 is excellent.

We detect these common filler words and phrases:

• "um", "uh", "er", "ah" (always fillers)
• "like" (when used as a verbal crutch, not for comparison)
• "you know" (when rhetorical)
• "basically", "literally", "actually" (when overused)
• "so" (when starting sentences unnecessarily)
• "I mean", "kind of", "sort of" (when hedging)

Complete your daily workout to maintain your streak. Your streak resets at midnight local time if you miss a day.

Premium users get streak freezes that automatically protect your streak if you miss a day. You earn one streak freeze per week of consecutive practice.

We take your privacy seriously:

• Voice recordings are deleted within 24 hours of processing
• We never sell your data or use it for advertising
• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• We use OpenAI's API which does not train on your data

No, Articular requires an internet connection to work. Your recordings are sent to our AI for analysis, which requires connectivity. We're exploring offline features for future updates.

You can delete your account at any time:

1. Open Articular and go to Profile
2. Tap Account Settings
3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
4. Confirm by typing DELETE

Warning: This permanently deletes all your data including recordings, progress, achievements, and cannot be undone. Make sure to cancel your subscription separately through your app store first.
